Quartet Camerata

Established more than thirty years ago, Quartet Camerata have performed throughout the UK to critical acclaim at venues including St John’s Smith Square, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Cambridge University’s Madingley Hall and the Chelsea Arts Club. The quartet has also given a series of concerts in France, featured on BBC Radio and performed for HM The Queen.

Quartet Camerata perform regularly at festivals and music clubs. They also give music appreciation concerts and have successfully combined elements of their repertoire with dance projects, prose and poetry readings. The quartet have participated in masterclasses with the Alberni String Quartet and studied with Roger Coull and Andrew Watkinson.

The quartet supports a number of good causes and has helped to raise many thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

Peter Bussereau (violin) joined the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra after his studies at the University of London and the Guildhall School of Music. He subsequently became a principal violinist with the BBC Concert Orchestra, which he has recently left to pursue his love of chamber music, to freelance with leading London orchestras as well as studying for a degree at the Open University.

Anna Dryer-Beers (violin) studied at the Royal College of Music. She has been a member of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (US) and the BBC Radio Orchestra in the UK, as well as working for many years in West End Theatre orchestras, and with the BBC Concert Orchestra. Anna currently freelances as a chamber music player across Britain, as well as holding a senior academic role with Trinity College London.

Hannah Horton (Viola) Hannah studied Viola at the Royal Northern College of Music and has subsequently held the position of Sub-principal Viola with Northern Ballet Sinfonia for 21 years, touring, recording and performing. She is also a busy freelance orchestral player, playing in many of the country’s top orchestras.

Peter Randall (‘cello) studied with Joan Dickson, Harold Strube and David Smith of the Alberni String Quartet. He is a member of various ensembles and has performed chamber music for music societies throughout Britain. He is a founder member of the Quartet Camerata.
