Joanna Lam

Joanna Lam is a prizewinning soloist whose playing has taken her to Chetham’s School of Music, and King’s College London where she was awarded the Purcell Prize for attaining the highest mark in the degree, and to Guildhall School of Music where she completed her Artist Diploma in Performance on a scholarship. She is a Royal Overseas League and Birmingham International Piano Competition semi-finalist and the winner of both the Una Clark Young Artists Competition and Essex Young Musician of the Year. A passionate chamber musician, her Orelia Piano Trio were the winners of the Ivan Sutton Chamber Prize 2024 and made their debut in France and Canada in the same year. She performs with the Chineke! Foundation and has recorded for Prima Facie Records. Joanna is a Talent Unlimited Artist and also holds an award from the Wayne Sleep Foundation. She was delighted to be performing concertos with Harrow Symphony, Colchester Symphony, and the Aurelian Orchestras last year, and looks forward to performing as a Romsey Chamber Music Festival Young Artist this year.
